In order to integrate IBM Forms with backend systems, software integrators and application developers need to become familiar with using the IBM Forms Server Application Programming Interface (API). After completing this two day classroom, lab-intensive course, participants will be able to develop Java applications using the classic and streaming API; develop Forms Viewer Extensions, and use the JavaScript API to programmatically interact with WFDL forms on Web pages.
Audience:
The seminar is designed for software integrators and application developers.
Delivery Format:
This two-day instructor-led course can be taught either in the classroom or online (please see offerings at the right for the format). It involves hands-on exercises within a full working environment. Course duration is 2 days.
Prerequisites:
Participates should have:- Basic understanding of IBM Forms Design (either by taking Creating Forms Using IBM Lotus Forms Designer or having equivalent experience)
- Intermediate understanding of Java programming
- Basic understanding of servlets and portlets
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows
Skills Taught:
After completing this course, students should be able to:- Create a Web application that works fir the Webform Server
- Develop Java applications using the Application Programming Interface (API)
