What You Need to Participate in a LEO Course with Live Sessions If your course or seminar has live sessions, you will need a Telephone line with long distance access for your conversation.
For all LEOnline.net course, seminars and tutorials, you will need Internet Access and the following hardware requirements.
Minimum hardware requirements: Pentium II 266 MHz (or higher) 128 MB RAM or higher 5 MB free disk space Display resolution of 1024x768 Minimum 28.8 kbps connection speed (although a broadband connection is recommended)
Operating system: Supported operating systems for clients are: Windows 2000 and Windows XP are fully supported, although you should still be able to participate using Windows 95, 98, or NT Workstation. Browser: Supported browsers are Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or above, or Mozilla 1.4.1 or above. Browser settings: Users must set their browsers to accept cookies and to support JavaScript, Java, OCXs, and plug-ins. The browsers should also be set to show the newest version of a page, rather than showing cached pages. In Internet Explorer, this option is in the Settings section of Internet Options. In Netscape, this option is in the Cache section of Preferences -Advanced. Netscape users should additionally enable the use of plug-ins and the Netscape SmartUpdate feature.
All pop-up blockers must be disabled.
For users of Windows XP, you must be using the Sun Java virtual machine (to download this program, go to the Sun web site). |
